I will introduce some fact about being a translator.
-Philology studies are necessary. FALSE
You do not need to finish philology studies. You have to learn the language. Soak up the extralinguistic knowledge. Have a hobby and passion for something. Because being a translator doesn´t mean you will translate everything. You should have a specific knowledge, which will make you the best. Reading a book in both languages can improve your skills. And implement other standard or less standard ideas, so that can be rotated in the bilingual range of vocabulary and phraseology of the area that you are interested.
-You need to be good in your mother language. TRUTH
There is no way to being a good translator without knowledge about your mother language. Probably most of the translating job will be from foreign language to your own. Issues correctness, punctuation, style, correct terminology. Language dictionary, thesaurus, dictionary spelling and others every translator should have at his-her fingertips.
-You have to be multiexperienced. FALSE
If you are good in chemistry and know the words and how it works, start to be a translator who i specializing in chemistry translations. If you are good in sport, start to be a sport or media translator. You will see you can gain something more than job. But you will connect something, which you are good in and something you like. People will be totally glad if you will know what are you doing.
